MICHAEL SOUTER

COMBINING EXPERIENCED BRANDING, ARTIST COLLABORATIONS, AND A STUDIO PLAYGROUND.

Our collaboration with Woolrich Inc. focuses on a new brand identity, while Brookfield Properties enlists us to curate an art collection at 1 Bell Slip, Green Point Landing.

Branding and Implementation

WOOLRICH INC.

Revitalize branding with modern-heritage fusion, launching globally in Milan, New York, and Tokyo. Souter designed and developed three identities: Woolrich Mainline, Heritage Icon, and Woolrich by Todd Snyder, Black Label, alongside updated corporate, marketing, and environmental materials. Guided by a comprehensive guidelines manual.

Artist Collaboration and Curation

BROOKFIELD PROPERTIES

Commissioned by Brookfield for 1 Bell Slip at Green Point Landing, this curated 40-piece multimedia art collection showcases works from 15 artists with local and international origins. The collection, featuring photography, painting, printmaking, and drawings, emphasizes a global and inclusive approach. Over half of the artworks focus on artists from underrepresented communities from Japan, Lithuania, England, Holland, and the United States.

The Studio: Creative Exploration

NARCISSIST NATION

Souter’s Narcissist Nation series, is a thought-provoking artistic exploration of manipulation and self-reflection. Thirty acid-etched mirrors, each piece inscribed with text from personal emails that carry layered meanings. This collection accentuates the deceptive quality of language, mainly when extracted from its original setting and devoid of authorial context, prompting viewers to reconsider the complex interplay between words, perception, and their identities.
